Hi to you all

We hope that you have had a look at the tournaments you have entered, and have agreed your first match dates. You may even have played one.

Can we please request that you play all your matches by the 'play by' dates in the tournament schedule. We know that it's holiday time, but please get in there early and sort out your dates.

However, if, despite all best efforts, you are going to be late, let the tournament organiser know the details ASAP.

In such circumstances, you must check if the players for the next round can keep to schedule, despite your delay.

While we can generally cope with a few days delay, large delays are not acceptable as they usually have domino impacts through the whole event. They may unfortunately lead to exclusions.

As an example, which we realise involved few of you, in the Open and Handicap tournaments this year, we had eight semi-finals played in the last week of the tournament. These were all after the play-by date.

The tournament organisers had to 'chase' most of them to learn the play dates.

Given that 10 of the involved participants were potentially in more than 1 final, the consequence was that we could not finalise the schedule until the day before the Final.

This is tough on members who may wish to come along and support you all! It's also tough on the Tournament sub-committee.

We put in a lot of effort to make these tournaments enjoyable for all, but we need your help otherwise it's no fun for us.

We hope that you all enjoy the tournaments and we appreciate your help in ensuring that they run smoothly for all involved.
